It's not an issue unless the "beloved" Leafs embarrass themselves
As a goalie, and a rink operator who knows how to drive a zamboni it was a great story to see.
My freshman year in college, at your alma mater, was the last year the Flyers practiced at the Class of 23 rink. A friend and myself would go to watch practices.
Occasionally, "Sudsy" would be suited up.
He sold us game jerseys, from the 1st set of 82-83 home jerseys, out of the trunk of his car. I got Lindbergh and my friend bought Propp.
Great memories from that year: Morganti taking breakaways on Lindbergh after practice; watching the Oilers practice twice and getting Gretzky autographs.
